Notice is hereby given that the City of Harlingen, Texas will receive sealed proposals for:
RFP No. 2012-06 Traffic Light Synchronization Study
RFP No. 2012-07 Public Participation Operation Analysis & Implementation Plan
The Harlingen-San Benito Metropolitan Planning Organization (HSBMPO) is seeking a qualified consulting firm to collect traffic data and provide traffic light synchronization plans for sixty-six (66) traffic signals along the top congested corridors based on the Spring 2011 Congestion Management Process study. The HSBMPO is also seeking a qualified consulting firm to gather data within the Harlingen Urbanized area and present results of existing conditions and an implementation plan for improvements to the transit system.
Detailed specifications and proposal forms may be obtained at the Purchasing Office, (956) 216-5316, during regular business hours or will be emailed at your request. Proposals must be submitted on or before 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at the Purchasing Office located at 404 S. 54th St., Harlingen TX 78550. All proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:30 p.m., on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at City Hall located at 118 E. Tyler Avenue, Harlingen, TX 78550.
The City of Harlingen reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive defects and formalities in such proposals, to award the contract to the respondent which it considers has submitted the best and most advantageous proposal, and to hold all proposals for a period of sixty (60) days without taking any action thereon.
